We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) – Chandigarh to lead and oversee our sales operations across the assigned zone in the Chandigarh region, covering key territories including Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a high-performing sales team, and building strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key accounts. This is a senior leadership role that demands strategic thinking, strong market acumen, and a proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive zonal sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and revenue targets for the Chandigarh zone.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and field sales executives, ensuring consistent performance, motivation, and professional development across the zone.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key distributors, channel partners, and major accounts to ensure consistent product availability and brand visibility.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, and trade initiatives within the zone.
- Prepare and present detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure effective territory management by optimizing the distribution network, expanding market reach, and identifying new business development opportunities across the region.
- Manage the zonal budget effectively, controlling operational expenses while maximizing return on investment across all sales activities.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline is required; an MBA from a recognized institution is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3–4 years in a zonal or regional sales management role within FMCG, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large cross-functional sales teams while consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of the Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh markets, including distribution networks, trade channels, and regional consumer behavior.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and sales analytics tools for data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone and maintain a strong on-ground presence across key markets and territories.
