Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) – Chandigarh

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) to lead and oversee our sales operations across the Chandigarh zone, covering key markets in Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. About the Role

The Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a high-performing regional sales team, and ensuring the achievement of zonal targets. Based in Chandigarh, the successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact between the corporate leadership and the ground-level sales force, implementing strategic initiatives and maintaining strong relationships with key distributors, dealers, and channel partners across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute zonal sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Sales Executives, and field staff, ensuring consistent performance and professional development.
• Monitor and analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and recommend corrective actions when required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, channel partners, and institutional clients to ensure long-term business retention and expansion.
• Coordinate with the marketing and product teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and trade activities within the zone.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
• Ensure effective inventory management and supply chain coordination with the logistics team to prevent stockouts and optimize product availability.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new sales personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, motivation, and high performance across the zonal team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 8–12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3–4 years in a zonal or regional sales management role.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive, fast-paced business environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and drive a large, geographically dispersed team.
• Excellent knowledge of the Chandigarh tri-city region and surrounding markets including Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales reporting platforms; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone as required by business needs.
