About the role
The employer is seeking a dedicated Waking Watch / Fire Marshal to join their team. This role is responsible for providing continuous fire safety monitoring, ensuring the safety of all building occupants and compliance with fire safety protocols.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct regular patrols of the building to identify and report fire hazards
- Remain alert and vigilant at all times during assigned shifts
- Raise the alarm and assist with evacuation procedures in the event of a fire or emergency
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all patrols and incidents
- Liaise with building management and emergency services as required
Candidates should have a sound understanding of fire safety procedures and ideally hold relevant fire marshal or waking watch certification. Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage. The ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly is essential.
