About the role
The employer is seeking a dedicated Waking Watch / Fire Marshal to carry out continuous fire safety monitoring duties on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety of occupants by conducting regular patrols, identifying fire hazards, and ensuring all fire safety protocols are strictly followed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing regular waking watch patrols throughout the premises
- Monitoring for fire risks and reporting hazards promptly
- Raising the alarm and coordinating evacuation procedures in the event of a fire or emergency
- Maintaining accurate logs of patrol rounds and any incidents observed
- Liaising with site management and emergency services as required
Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of fire safety procedures and possess the ability to remain alert and responsive throughout their shift. Prior experience in a waking watch, fire marshal, or related safety role is desirable.
This role requires a reliable individual who can work with minimal supervision and respond calmly and effectively under pressure, prioritising the safety and well-being of all site occupants at all times.
