The employer is seeking a dedicated Waking Watch / Fire Marshal to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring the safety of building occupants by providing continuous, round-the-clock fire safety monitoring on site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, identifying potential fire risks, and raising the alarm promptly in the event of an emergency. They will act as the first point of contact during a fire incident, guiding occupants to safety and liaising with emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for fire hazards
- Maintain accurate logs of all patrols and any incidents observed
- Raise the alarm and initiate evacuation procedures when necessary
- Communicate effectively with building management and emergency services
- Ensure all fire safety equipment is accessible and unobstructed
Candidates should have a sound understanding of fire safety procedures and ideally hold relevant fire marshal or waking watch certification. The ability to remain alert and composed under pressure is essential for this position.
