About the role
The employer is seeking a dedicated Waking Watch / Fire Marshal to carry out fire safety monitoring duties on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining continuous vigilance to protect the safety of all building occupants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular patrols of the premises to identify and report fire hazards
- Monitoring fire alarm systems and responding promptly to any alerts
- Alerting and assisting occupants during an evacuation in the event of a fire
- Maintaining accurate logs of all patrols and incidents
- Liaising with emergency services as required
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a fire safety, security, or waking watch role, along with a sound understanding of fire safety procedures. A relevant fire marshal or fire warden certification is desirable.
This is a site-based position requiring a high level of reliability, alertness, and professionalism. Candidates must be physically capable of conducting regular patrols throughout the duration of their shift.
