About the Role

Amazon Freight is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Representative to join our growing logistics network across India. In this role, you will serve as a critical link between Amazon's freight operations and our carrier partners, shippers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the seamless movement of goods across our supply chain. You will play a hands-on role in managing day-to-day freight operations while upholding Amazon's high standards of speed, accuracy, and customer obsession.

As a Transportation Representative, you will work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where you will be responsible for monitoring shipment statuses, resolving operational exceptions, and communicating proactively with carriers and customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and technology to continuously improve freight performance metrics and deliver an exceptional experience to our freight customers across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end freight shipment lifecycle, including booking, tracking, exception management, and delivery confirmation across lanes in India.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for carrier partners and freight customers, addressing inquiries, escalations, and service issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor transportation performance dashboards and proactively identify delays, disruptions, or capacity constraints, taking corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure compliance with Amazon Freight's operational standards, safety requirements, and documentation protocols.
• Analyze shipment data and generate regular reports on key performance indicators such as on-time delivery rates, transit times, and cost per shipment.
• Support the onboarding of new carrier partners by facilitating training, documentation collection, and system integration processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the development of scalable operational solutions.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of shipment records within Amazon's transportation management systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in transportation, freight brokerage, logistics operations, or a related customer-facing role within India.
• Strong understanding of domestic freight operations, carrier ecosystems, and surface transportation networks across Indian states.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with transportation management systems or logistics software platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or regional languages is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work under tight deadlines, and resolve problems with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
