About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Team Member - AOCC (Airport Operations Control Centre) to join our dynamic aviation operations team in India. This role is central to ensuring the seamless coordination and real-time management of airport operations, serving as the nerve centre for all operational activities across the facility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and demonstrate exceptional communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. You will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including airlines, ground handlers, air traffic control, and internal departments to maintain operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction at the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate all airside and terminal operations in real time, ensuring smooth flow of flights, passengers, and ground services throughout the operational day.
  • Serve as the primary communication hub between airlines, ground handling agencies, ATC, security, and other airport stakeholders to resolve operational disruptions promptly and effectively.
  • Track flight movements, delays, and schedule changes, proactively initiating contingency plans to minimise impact on overall airport operations and passenger experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational logs, incident reports, and shift handover documentation in compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Coordinate gate and stand allocation in conjunction with the relevant planning teams, optimising resource utilisation during peak and off-peak operational periods.
  • Support emergency response and crisis management activities by following established protocols and coordinating with emergency services, airport authorities, and senior management as required.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and escalate issues to the AOCC Supervisor or relevant department heads in a timely manner to prevent service disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable DGCA regulations, BCAS guidelines, and internal standard operating procedures at all times during shift operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in airport or airline operations will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in airport operations, airline operations control, or a similar role within the aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of airport operational processes including flight handling, ground services, slot coordination, and FIDS/AODB systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or a regional language is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as airport operations require round-the-clock coverage.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and maintain composure under pressure during irregular operations or emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with airport management systems or operational control software is highly desirable.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package with performance-linked incentives and regular salary reviews aligned with industry benchmarks.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for the employee and immediate family members, including medical, dental, and wellness benefits.
  • Structured training and development programmes including aviation-specific certifications, leadership development, and cross-functional exposure opportunities.
  • Employee travel benefits and concessional travel privileges in accordance with company policy, offering unique perks within the aviation sector.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work culture with clear career progression pathways within airport operations and broader organisational functions.
