A well-established tea company is seeking a skilled Tea Taster to be based at its Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu office. This is a specialist role suited to professionals with a strong sensory background and a thorough understanding of tea varieties, grades, and quality parameters.
The selected candidate will be responsible for tasting, evaluating, and grading teas to ensure they meet the company's quality benchmarks. The role demands a keen palate, attention to detail, and the ability to assess teas across multiple parameters including aroma, colour, briskness, and flavour.
- Conduct systematic tasting and evaluation of tea samples
- Grade and classify teas based on established quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of tasting results and quality assessments
- Liaise with procurement and production teams to support quality control processes
Candidates with prior experience in tea tasting or a related quality assurance role within the tea industry are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with South Indian tea varieties and auction processes would be an added advantage.
