About the role
The employer is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in castings and machined castings to join their team. This role focuses on maintaining and improving the quality of components sourced from external suppliers, with a strong emphasis on casting and machined casting processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating supplier capabilities, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions to ensure incoming parts conform to engineering and quality requirements. Close collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers will be central to the role.
- Monitor and assess supplier quality performance for castings and machined castings
- Conduct supplier audits and process evaluations
- Identify non-conformances and lead root-cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams
