About the role
The employer is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in castings and machined castings to join their team. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the quality standards of components sourced from external suppliers, with a strong emphasis on casting and machined casting processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating supplier capabilities, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions to resolve quality issues. Close collaboration with both internal teams and suppliers will be essential to ensure that all incoming materials meet the required specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor and assess supplier quality performance for castings and machined castings
- Conduct supplier audits and on-site inspections
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes
- Work cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and production teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and internal requirements
