About the role
The employer is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in castings and machined castings to join their team. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the quality of components sourced from external suppliers, with a focus on cast and machined cast parts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and auditing suppliers of castings and machined castings to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Collaborating with suppliers to identify root causes of defects and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Reviewing and approving supplier quality plans, inspection reports, and dimensional data
- Supporting new part development and qualification processes for cast components
- Coordinating with internal engineering and procurement teams to resolve supplier quality issues
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supplier quality engineering, with hands-on experience in castings manufacturing processes and quality management systems. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and inspection methodologies for cast and machined components is essential.
