About the role
The employer is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in castings and machined castings to join their team. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the quality of components sourced from external suppliers, ensuring all parts conform to defined technical and quality requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating supplier performance, conducting audits, and working closely with vendors to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and qualifying suppliers for castings and machined castings
- Performing supplier audits and quality inspections
- Investigating and resolving supplier-related quality issues and non-conformances
- Collaborating with internal engineering and procurement teams to ensure component quality
- Supporting continuous improvement and cost-reduction programmes within the supply base
