About the role
The employer is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer specialising in castings and machined castings to join their team. This role is focused on managing and improving the quality of components sourced from external suppliers, with a specific emphasis on cast and machined cast parts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating supplier capabilities, conducting audits, and ensuring that all incoming castings and machined castings conform to engineering and quality requirements. Close collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers will be central to the role.
- Monitor and manage supplier quality performance for castings and machined castings
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformances
- Support new supplier qualification and approval activities
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to resolve quality issues
