About the role
A well-established Hindi news organisation is looking to hire a Sub Editor for its Chandigarh office. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the editorial desk, responsible for ensuring accuracy, clarity, and quality across published content.
Key responsibilities include:
- Editing and proofreading news copy for language, grammar, and factual accuracy
- Writing and refining headlines, captions, and summaries
- Coordinating with reporters and senior editors to meet publication deadlines
- Ensuring content adheres to the organisation's editorial standards and style guidelines
Candidates with a strong command of Hindi, a keen eye for detail, and prior experience in a newsroom or editorial environment are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with digital publishing workflows will be an added advantage.
