A leading fashion and retail conglomerate is seeking a Senior Executive – Legal to serve as Associate Regional Counsel, based out of Kolkata, West Bengal.
About the role
The employer is looking for an experienced legal professional to join their regional legal team in Kolkata as a Senior Executive – Legal, functioning in the capacity of Associate Regional Counsel. This role sits within a large, established fashion and retail organisation and offers the opportunity to handle substantive legal responsibilities at a regional level.
The selected candidate will be expected to manage and support legal matters relevant to the company's operations in the region. This includes providing legal counsel, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Providing day-to-day legal advisory support to regional business teams
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Liaising with external counsel and regulatory authorities as required
- Supporting dispute resolution and litigation management in the region
This position is well-suited to a legally qualified professional with relevant post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably within a retail, consumer goods, or similarly fast-paced industry environment.
