About the role
This role is an opportunity to lead a team of software engineers working on Search Platforms, a critical area within Google Search. The position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and sits within Google's broader Search organisation.
As an Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the team, overseeing the design and development of large-scale search infrastructure, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality platform components that power Google Search.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for Search Platforms initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, and other engineering teams
- Uphold engineering best practices including code quality, system design, and operational excellence
