Software Engineering Manager – Search Platforms
Lead engineering teams building and scaling Google's Search Platforms infrastructure. This is a people-management role focused on technical leadership within the Search organisation.
About the role
This role is an engineering management position within Google's Search Platforms team, part of the broader Search organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers, guiding technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality platform solutions that power Search at scale.
The position requires a balance of strong technical expertise and people-management skills. The manager will be expected to recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent, set team goals aligned with organisational priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and other engineering teams.
