About the role
Amazon is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead the Kindle Content Experience team based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality features that shape how millions of readers discover and engage with content on Kindle.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in software engineering alongside proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. They will be expected to set technical direction, drive architectural decisions, and ensure the team consistently delivers against roadmap goals with a high bar for quality and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing a team of software development engineers
- Partnering with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute the content experience roadmap
- Driving engineering best practices, code quality, and system reliability
- Removing blockers and creating an environment where engineers can do their best work
