About the role
The employer is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead engineering efforts within the Alexa Growth organisation. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of software development engineers, setting technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable systems that support Alexa's growth goals.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in software engineering combined with proven experience leading development teams. They should be comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level — defining roadmaps, removing blockers, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, science, and business stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.
- Manage, hire, and develop a team of software development engineers
- Own the technical roadmap and delivery for Alexa Growth initiatives
- Drive engineering excellence through best practices in design, code quality, and operational standards
- Partner with product and science teams to define and execute on growth strategies
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly to senior leadership
