About the role
Amazon is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to join the Alexa Growth organisation. In this role, the individual will be responsible for leading and mentoring software development teams focused on expanding the reach and capabilities of Alexa, Amazon's voice-driven AI assistant.
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of technical strategy and people management, guiding engineers through the full software development lifecycle while ensuring high standards of quality, delivery, and innovation. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders — including product managers, scientists, and business leaders — will be central to the day-to-day responsibilities.
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing software engineering team
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for Alexa Growth initiatives
- Partner with product and science teams to deliver customer-facing features at scale
- Uphold engineering best practices including design reviews, code quality, and operational excellence
