About the role
This is a senior engineering leadership role focused on the OpenSearch service. The Senior Manager of Software Development will be responsible for guiding multiple development teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring the reliable delivery of features and improvements to OpenSearch — a community-driven, open-source search and analytics suite used by thousands of organisations globally.
The role demands a strong combination of technical depth and people leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to hire, mentor, and develop engineers and engineering managers, foster a culture of operational excellence, and collaborate closely with product, science, and business stakeholders to define and execute the roadmap.

- Owning the end-to-end software development lifecycle for OpenSearch engineering teams
