About the role
The Screener – ILHBS is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient screening of hold baggage using in-line screening systems. The role forms a critical part of airport security operations, ensuring that all baggage processed meets regulatory and safety standards before being loaded onto aircraft.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating ILHBS equipment to screen hold baggage in accordance with applicable aviation security regulations
- Monitoring screening outputs and identifying any anomalies or prohibited items
- Coordinating with ground handling and security teams to resolve screening alarms or alerts
- Maintaining accurate logs and records related to screening activities
- Adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines at all times
Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aviation security. Prior experience in airport security or baggage screening operations would be an advantage.
