The role involves screening passengers, baggage, and cargo using established security procedures and equipment. The Screener is expected to remain alert, follow protocols diligently, and respond appropriately to any security-related situations that may arise during duty hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and checked luggage
- Operate X-ray machines and other screening equipment as per standard operating procedures
- Identify and report suspicious items or behaviour to the appropriate authorities
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all aviation security guidelines
- Coordinate with airport security and airline staff to ensure smooth operations
