About the role
The employer is looking for a diligent and alert individual to join the airport security team in Mangaluru, Karnataka as a Screener. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure airport environment in line with established aviation security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, cabin baggage, checked baggage, and cargo using X-ray equipment and other security tools
- Conduct physical frisking and document verification as required
- Identify and report suspicious items, behaviour, or security threats promptly
- Adhere strictly to Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) guidelines and airport security procedures
- Maintain accurate records and logs related to screening activities
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in airport security, defence, paramilitary, or a related field is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain alert during extended shifts
- Good communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanour when interacting with passengers
- Physically fit and capable of performing screening duties as per regulatory requirements
