About the role
The employer is looking for a diligent and alert individual to join its airport security team in Mangaluru, Karnataka as a Screener. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and aircraft by performing thorough screening operations at designated checkpoints.
- Passenger and baggage screening: Conduct systematic checks of passengers, cabin baggage, and checked luggage using X-ray machines, hand-held metal detectors, and physical frisking as per regulatory guidelines.
- Cargo and vehicle screening: Inspect cargo consignments and vehicles entering the airside as required.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) standards and all applicable aviation security regulations.
- Reporting: Identify and report suspicious items, behaviour, or security breaches to the appropriate authority promptly.
Candidates should possess a strong sense of alertness, the ability to remain focused during repetitive tasks, and good communication skills. Prior experience in security screening or a related field within the aviation or hospitality sector would be an advantage.
