About the role
The SAM Operational Management role is responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of Software Asset Management within the organisation. The position involves ensuring that software assets are tracked, maintained, and compliant with licensing agreements and internal policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing day-to-day SAM operational activities and processes
- Managing software asset lifecycles, including procurement, deployment, and retirement
- Ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of software inventory and usage data
- Identifying risks related to software asset non-compliance and recommending corrective actions
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Software Asset Management, familiarity with SAM tools and frameworks, and the ability to work cross-functionally with IT, procurement, and legal teams to maintain governance standards.
