HDFC Securities Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our growing team at the Goregaon branch in Mumbai. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to lead client acquisition efforts, drive revenue growth, and deliver exceptional financial solutions to retail and institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services or securities markets and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base, nurturing long-term client relationships, and promoting HDFC Securities' comprehensive suite of investment products including equities, mutual funds, derivatives, and other financial instruments. You will work closely with senior leadership to implement strategic sales initiatives and contribute meaningfully to the branch's overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new client acquisition through proactive prospecting, referrals, networking, and targeted outreach campaigns to consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients by providing personalized investment advice and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Promote and cross-sell HDFC Securities' full range of financial products including equities, derivatives, IPOs, mutual funds, bonds, and insurance products.
- Conduct regular client meetings, portfolio reviews, and financial planning sessions to understand client needs and recommend suitable investment strategies aligned with their goals.
- Collaborate with the branch manager and internal teams to develop and execute local sales strategies, promotional events, and investor awareness programs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide clients with timely and accurate financial insights and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management using CRM tools, and submit regular performance reports to management.
- Ensure full compliance with SEBI regulations, internal company policies, and industry best practices in all client dealings and documentation processes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3–6 years of proven sales experience in financial services, broking, banking, or wealth management industries.
- Valid NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) certification or other relevant SEBI-mandated certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, investment products, and financial planning concepts with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills with a client-first approach and the ability to build trust quickly with high-net-worth individuals and retail investors.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience working with CRM platforms for pipeline tracking and reporting.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
