This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated financial services professional to lead a high-performing sales team, drive revenue growth, and deliver exceptional investment solutions to our valued clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of equity markets, financial products, and a proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets in a competitive environment. As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and upholding the HDFC Securities brand promise of trust, transparency, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers and Sales Executives to consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets across all financial product categories.
- Drive the acquisition of new clients through strategic outreach, referral networks, corporate tie-ups, and local market activations within the Goregaon and surrounding catchment areas.
- Promote and cross-sell a comprehensive range of financial products including equities, mutual funds, derivatives, IPOs, bonds, insurance, and loan against securities.
- Monitor team performance on a daily basis, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective action plans to ensure consistent productivity and goal attainment.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and retail clients by providing personalized investment advice and superior customer service.
- Collaborate closely with the branch operations team, compliance officers, and product specialists to ensure seamless client onboarding and adherence to regulatory guidelines set by SEBI and other governing bodies.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards to senior management on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4–7 years of progressive experience in financial services sales, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or managerial capacity.
- Valid NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) and NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) certifications are mandatory; additional certifications will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate sales teams, with strong coaching, performance management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets, financial instruments, and investment products relevant to the Indian retail and HNI client segments.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and familiarity with trading and back-office platforms used within the broking industry.
- Strong local market knowledge of the Goregaon, Malad, and western Mumbai suburbs with an established client network will be a significant advantage.
