About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Utility Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) Consultant to join our growing technology team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Utilities CC&B solutions for clients across the energy, water, and gas utility sectors. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical architects to deliver robust billing and customer management solutions that drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement Oracle Utilities CC&B modules including customer information, billing, payment processing, and meter data management to meet client-specific business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather functional requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions within the Oracle CC&B framework.
  • Develop and customize application components using Java, Groovy scripting, and Oracle CC&B framework tools to extend platform capabilities and address unique client needs.
  • Perform system integration activities by designing and implementing interfaces between Oracle CC&B and third-party systems such as ERP platforms, GIS systems, and meter data management solutions.
  • Conduct thorough unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality, defect-free deployments across all project phases.
  • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and implement timely resolutions to minimize business disruption and maintain service level agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including functional specifications, design documents, test plans, and deployment guides.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen the overall competency of the Oracle Utilities practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) implementation, configuration, and support across multiple project lifecycles.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle CC&B architecture, including business objects, business services, service scripts, algorithms, and portal configuration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and XML with the ability to write and debug complex queries and application code within the CC&B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end utility billing processes, including rate configuration, bill calculation, payment handling, and collections management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, manage expectations, and present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Oracle Utilities CC&B certification or equivalent professional credentials are strongly preferred.
