About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Talent Acquisition (Cargo Operations) to join our Human Resources team in India. In this pivotal role, you will lead end-to-end recruitment strategies specifically tailored to our cargo and logistics operations vertical. You will partner closely with senior business leaders, operations heads, and HR business partners to attract, assess, and onboard top-tier talent that drives our cargo business forward. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned recruitment professional who understands the nuances of the aviation, freight, or logistics industry and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with the growth objectives of the Cargo Operations division, ensuring timely fulfilment of critical roles across all levels.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle — from workforce planning, job briefing, and candidate sourcing to interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding — for roles spanning ground handling, freight management, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination.
  • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline through proactive headhunting, networking, industry events, campus partnerships, and digital sourcing platforms including LinkedIn, Naukri, and sector-specific job boards.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads and hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, define role specifications, and establish structured competency-based assessment frameworks.
  • Track, analyse, and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rates, and quality of hire to continuously improve hiring outcomes and present insights to senior leadership.
  • Lead and mentor a team of talent acquisition specialists, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to build a high-performing recruitment function.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives specific to the cargo and logistics sector, positioning the organisation as an employer of choice within the industry through targeted campaigns and partnerships.
  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws, equal opportunity employment regulations, and internal HR policies throughout the recruitment process, maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready records.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA in HR or a postgraduate diploma in personnel management is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, ideally within the aviation, cargo, logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-volume and specialised hiring for operational, technical, and mid-to-senior management roles within cargo or logistics environments.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and advanced sourcing tools; familiarity with data-driven recruitment methodologies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organisational levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret workforce data, forecast hiring needs, and translate business requirements into effective recruitment strategies.
  • Willingness to travel across India as required to support multi-location hiring drives and business needs.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package including performance-linked bonuses and annual increments benchmarked to industry standards.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits covering medical, dental, and accidental insurance for the employee and immediate family members.
  • Significant career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding cargo and logistics organisation with a strong national and international presence.
  • Access to continuous learning and development programmes, leadership training, and professional certifications sponsored by the organisation.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a collaborative, inclusive work culture that values innovation, diversity, and employee well-being.
