About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our household team in Amta-I, Howrah District, West Bengal, India. This is a full-time position suited for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming living environment. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, trustworthy, and experienced in performing a wide range of domestic cleaning and household management tasks. You will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and hygiene of the household, contributing positively to the daily lives of the family members residing in the home.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all rooms including bedrooms, living areas, bathrooms, and kitchen on a daily and weekly basis to maintain high standards of hygiene and tidiness.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the household, ensuring all surfaces are free from dust, dirt, and debris at all times.
• Wash, dry, iron, and neatly fold clothing, bed linens, and other household fabrics in accordance with family preferences and fabric care instructions.
• Organize and arrange household items, cupboards, and storage areas to ensure an orderly and clutter-free living environment.
• Assist with basic kitchen duties including washing utensils, cleaning countertops, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness after meal preparation.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or household supply shortages to the employer in a timely and responsible manner.
• Handle grocery shopping and running household errands as directed by the employer, ensuring accuracy and accountability in all transactions.
• Maintain discretion and respect the privacy of all household members while carrying out daily responsibilities professionally and courteously.

Requirements

• Prior experience of at least 1 to 2 years in a housekeeping or domestic helper role within a private household or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in Bengali; basic understanding of Hindi will be considered an added advantage.
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing cleaning tasks that may involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving household items for extended periods.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently and completing tasks within assigned schedules.
• Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to maintaining cleanliness, order, and a high standard of household care.
• Must possess a trustworthy and honest character with verifiable references from previous employers or community members.
• Willingness to adhere to household rules, schedules, and specific instructions provided by the employer regarding cleaning products and methods.
