About the role
The employer is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead and manage railway operations at its Gangavaram facility in Andhra Pradesh. This is a head-level role requiring strong expertise in rail logistics, infrastructure, and port-side rail movement.
The selected candidate will be responsible for end-to-end railway operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of cargo via rail within the port and SEZ premises. The role demands close coordination with internal port operations teams as well as external railway authorities and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Strategic planning and day-to-day management of railway operations
- Liaison with Indian Railways and other regulatory bodies
- Ensuring operational safety, compliance, and efficiency standards
- Leading and developing the railways operations team
