This position is with a leading private sector bank and is based out of the Visakhapatnam Rural mandal in Andhra Pradesh. The selected candidate will be responsible for the valuation of gold submitted by customers seeking gold loans.
The role requires a sound understanding of gold purity assessment, weight verification, and market-rate evaluation to ensure accurate and compliant loan disbursements. The valuer plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the gold loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and verify the purity and weight of gold articles presented by customers
- Determine the correct loan value in line with prevailing market rates and bank guidelines
- Ensure all valuation processes comply with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of valuations conducted at the branch
