About the Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our growing logistics team in India. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between shippers and carriers, negotiating competitive freight rates, managing shipment coordination, and ensuring the seamless movement of goods across domestic and international routes. Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with shippers, importers, exporters, and freight carriers across India and international markets.
• Negotiate freight rates, terms, and contracts with carriers to secure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions for clients.
• Coordinate and oversee end-to-end shipment logistics, including booking, documentation, tracking, and timely delivery confirmation.
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing regular updates, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Analyze market trends, freight rate fluctuations, and carrier capacity to make informed brokerage decisions and stay competitive.
• Ensure full compliance with Indian customs regulations, GST requirements, and relevant domestic and international shipping laws and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with internal operations, finance, and customer service teams to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery.
• Prepare accurate reports on shipment status, revenue performance, and client activity for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in freight brokerage, freight forwarding, or a related logistics role within India.
• Strong knowledge of domestic road freight, rail freight, air cargo, and sea freight operations and regulations in India.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Proficiency in logistics management software, Transport Management Systems (TMS), and standard MS Office applications.
• Solid understanding of Indian customs procedures, GST documentation, and relevant trade compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly to a dynamic market environment.
