About the role
The employer is seeking a detail-oriented Editor with a background in Sociology to join its editorial team on a work-from-home basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for editing and refining academic manuscripts, research papers, and related content within the field of Sociology.
The role requires a strong command of written English and a solid understanding of sociological concepts, research methodologies, and academic writing conventions. The editor will work closely with authors and internal teams to ensure that submitted manuscripts meet the required standards of clarity, structure, and language quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Editing manuscripts for grammar, style, coherence, and academic tone
- Ensuring content adheres to relevant editorial guidelines and style guides
- Providing constructive feedback to authors to strengthen their work
- Managing multiple assignments within stipulated deadlines
