Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the complete claims lifecycle, including registration, investigation, assessment, processing, and final settlement, ensuring adherence to defined turnaround times and quality benchmarks.
  • Review complex and high-value claims with meticulous attention to detail, conducting thorough analysis to detect fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or policy violations before authorizing settlements.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments such as underwriting, legal, finance, and customer service to facilitate smooth claims resolution and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surveyors, third-party administrators (TPAs), hospitals, garages, and other external stakeholders to ensure seamless claims processing and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor claims data and generate periodic MIS reports for senior management, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement to reduce claims leakage and operational costs.
  • Ensure full compliance with IRDAI regulations, internal audit requirements, and company standard operating procedures throughout all stages of the claims process.
  • Mentor and guide junior claims executives, providing training, performance feedback, and technical support to build a high-performing and knowledgeable claims team.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and grievances related to claims, ensuring prompt and empathetic resolution while upholding the organization's service standards and reputation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in insurance (such as Licentiate or Associate from III) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in claims management within the insurance or financial services industry, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of motor, health, property, or general insurance claims processes, documentation requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks in India.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex policy documents, medical reports, survey findings, and legal correspondence accurately.
  • Proficiency in claims management software, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with MIS reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to effectively liaise with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, professional judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion and accountability.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary package commensurate with experience, along with performance-linked incentives and annual appraisals.
  • Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical insurance coverage for employees and their dependents, along with access to wellness programs and employee assistance initiatives.
  • Career Development: Structured learning and development programs, sponsorship for professional certifications, and clear internal growth pathways to senior management roles.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible working arrangements, paid leave entitlements, and a collaborative workplace culture that values employee well-being.
  • Retirement Benefits: Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity, and other statutory benefits as per Indian labor regulations, ensuring long-term financial security for all employees.
