About the role
The employer is seeking a Director of Machine Learning Engineering to lead and scale its ML engineering function. This is a senior individual-contributor and people-leadership role that sits at the intersection of applied research, product development, and engineering execution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction for machine learning initiatives, overseeing the design and deployment of production-grade ML systems, and mentoring a team of engineers to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Define and drive the ML engineering roadmap in alignment with broader product and business objectives
- Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team of machine learning engineers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, and software engineering teams
- Ensure best practices in model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
