About the role
The employer is seeking a Director of Machine Learning Engineering to lead and scale its ML engineering function. This is a senior individual-contributor and people-leadership role that sits at the intersection of applied research, engineering excellence, and product impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical vision for machine learning initiatives, overseeing model development and deployment pipelines, and ensuring that ML systems meet production-grade standards of reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Define and execute the machine learning engineering roadmap in alignment with business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of machine learning engineers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, and software engineering teams
- Establish best practices for model training, evaluation, versioning, and deployment
- Drive research into emerging ML techniques and translate findings into practical applications
Candidates should bring extensive hands-on experience in machine learning engineering, a demonstrated track record of delivering ML systems at scale, and the leadership ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
