About the role
The employer is seeking a Director of Machine Learning Engineering to lead and scale its ML engineering function. This is a senior individual-contributor and people-leadership role that sits at the intersection of applied research, engineering excellence, and product impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction for machine learning initiatives, overseeing the design and deployment of robust ML systems, and partnering closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to bring intelligent features to production.
- Define and execute the machine learning engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ML engineers across varying levels of seniority
- Oversee the end-to-end ML lifecycle — from data preparation and model development to deployment, monitoring, and iteration
- Establish best practices for model governance, reproducibility, and scalable ML infrastructure
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers
This role is based in the Greater Bengaluru Area and is well suited to a technically deep leader who combines hands-on ML expertise with the ability to drive organisational outcomes at a director level.
