About the role
The employer is seeking a Director of Machine Learning Engineering to lead and scale its ML engineering function. This is a senior individual-contributor and people-leadership role that sits at the intersection of technical excellence and strategic vision, requiring the ability to translate complex business problems into production-ready machine learning systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction for ML initiatives, overseeing model development lifecycles from research through deployment, and ensuring engineering best practices are upheld across the team. Close collaboration with product, data science, and software engineering stakeholders will be central to the role.
- Define and execute the machine learning engineering roadmap aligned with organisational goals
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of machine learning engineers
- Oversee the design, development, and productionisation of ML models and pipelines
- Partner cross-functionally with product, data, and platform teams
