About the role
The employer is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Director – Backup & Recovery within its Infrastructure Services division. This is a senior-level position that calls for deep technical expertise combined with strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
In this role, the Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the backup and recovery function, including defining and executing the overall strategy, ensuring the reliability and integrity of data protection systems, and driving continuous improvement across related processes and technologies.
- Lead and manage the Backup & Recovery team, setting clear goals and performance expectations
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide backup and recovery strategies aligned with business continuity objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data protection practices
- Oversee vendor relationships, technology evaluations, and capacity planning for backup environments
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to data protection and recovery
