About the Role

As a Diploma Engineer Trainee, you will undergo a structured training program designed to equip you with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and industry exposure required to become a competent and confident engineering professional. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technical teams, gaining hands-on experience across various departments and functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and technical staff in day-to-day operations, maintenance activities, and project execution across assigned departments.
• Participate in the installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and systems as per organizational requirements.
• Monitor production processes, quality parameters, and operational workflows to ensure adherence to established standards and safety protocols.
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation including daily reports, inspection records, maintenance logs, and work order sheets.
• Support the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to cost-reduction and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and quality management systems such as ISO standards during all operational activities.
• Continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills by actively participating in training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job learning programs provided by the organization.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline from a recognized polytechnic institute or board with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
• Freshers are welcome to apply; however, candidates with up to one year of internship or industrial training experience will be given preference.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, technical drawings, and relevant tools or software applicable to the respective engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach toward assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Good communication skills in English and the regional language, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, field locations, or manufacturing plant environments as per the operational demands of the organization.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, and familiarity with ERP systems or AutoCAD will be considered an added advantage.
