About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Detail Engineering Specialist to join our growing engineering team in India. This role is central to the successful execution of large-scale industrial, infrastructure, and energy projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming conceptual and basic engineering designs into comprehensive, construction-ready documentation. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure that all technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, data sheets, and technical documents for process, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines in accordance with project requirements and applicable Indian and international standards.
• Develop and manage engineering deliverable schedules, ensuring timely submission of all technical documents to meet project milestones and client expectations.
• Conduct thorough design reviews, including HAZOP studies, 3D model reviews, and inter-discipline checks (IDC), to identify and resolve design conflicts before construction commences.
• Coordinate with vendors and equipment suppliers to review and approve vendor drawings and technical submittals, ensuring alignment with project specifications and design intent.
• Liaise with client representatives, project managers, and construction teams to address technical queries, manage engineering change requests, and provide timely resolution of field engineering issues.
• Ensure all detail engineering activities comply with relevant Indian statutory regulations, including those set by PESO, OISD, IBR, and other applicable regulatory bodies.
• Support procurement activities by preparing material requisitions, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and purchase order documentation for engineered equipment and bulk materials.
• Maintain and update engineering document management systems, ensuring version control and proper distribution of all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university; a postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 to 12 years of experience in detail engineering roles within oil and gas, petrochemical, power, pharmaceutical, or industrial plant sectors in India or internationally.
• Proficiency in industry-standard engineering software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, CAESAR II, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent tools relevant to the discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Indian and international codes and standards including IS, ASME, API, IEC, and IEEE as applicable to the discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engineering deliverables simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors in a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience working on EPC or EPCM projects with a reputed engineering consultancy or owner-operator organization is strongly preferred.
