About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Detail Engineering Specialist to join our growing engineering team in India. This role is critical to the successful execution of large-scale industrial, infrastructure, and energy projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating conceptual and basic engineering designs into comprehensive, construction-ready documentation. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure all technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, data sheets, and technical documents in accordance with project scope, client requirements, and applicable Indian and international standards such as IS, ASME, and ISO.
• Prepare and oversee the creation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, isometric drawings, and equipment layout plans using tools such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or E3D.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure that engineering deliverables are aligned with material take-offs, vendor documents, and site execution schedules.
• Conduct thorough engineering calculations including stress analysis, load calculations, and hydraulic analysis to validate design integrity and safety compliance.
• Manage the engineering deliverable schedule, track progress against milestones, and proactively identify and resolve technical bottlenecks to maintain project timelines.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and inter-discipline checks (IDC) to ensure consistency and accuracy across all project disciplines.
• Support the preparation of Material Requisitions (MRs) and technical bid evaluations for equipment and bulk materials procurement activities.
• Ensure all engineering outputs comply with statutory regulations, environmental guidelines, and HSE standards applicable in India and as specified by the client.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian university or equivalent institution.
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in detail engineering within EPC or EPCM project environments, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemicals, or power sectors.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, CAESAR II, STAAD.Pro, PDMS, or equivalent tools relevant to the discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Indian and international engineering codes and standards including IS, ASME, API, IEC, and NFPA.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• Experience with document control systems and engineering management tools such as AVEVA, SmartPlant, or equivalent platforms is highly desirable.
