About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Detail Engineering Specialist to join our growing team in India. This role is central to the successful execution of engineering projects across industries including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, and infrastructure. The Detail Engineering professional will be responsible for translating conceptual and basic engineering designs into comprehensive, construction-ready documentation and technical deliverables. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure that all engineering outputs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to make a significant impact on large-scale, complex projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents including piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment layouts, civil and structural drawings, and electrical schematics to support project construction and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure seamless integration of all engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform engineering calculations, material take-offs, and quantity estimates to support procurement activities and ensure accurate project cost management.
  • Ensure all detailed engineering work adheres to applicable Indian and international standards, codes, and regulations including IS, ASME, API, IEC, and client-specific requirements.
  • Manage and track engineering deliverables, review schedules, and maintain documentation registers to ensure timely submission and approval of all technical documents.
  • Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and third-party inspection agencies to review and approve vendor drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.
  • Support site engineering activities by resolving technical queries, issuing construction clarifications, and participating in design review meetings and HAZOP studies.
  • Identify potential design conflicts, engineering risks, and constructability issues at early stages and propose effective, cost-efficient solutions to maintain project schedule and budget integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or related discipline) from a recognized university; postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in detail engineering roles within EPC or EPCM project environments, preferably in oil and gas, refinery, or process plant sectors.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard engineering software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, STAAD.Pro, Caesar II, or equivalent tools relevant to the discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian statutory requirements, environmental regulations, and familiarity with approvals from bodies such as PESO, CEA, and CPCB where applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, prioritize workloads effectively, and meet tight project deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with document management systems and engineering data management tools is highly desirable.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package benchmarked against industry standards, with performance-based annual increments and bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employees and immediate family members, along with group term life and personal accident insurance.
  • Structured professional development programs, technical training, and support for certifications to accelerate your career growth within the organization.
  • Opportunity to work on prestigious national and international projects, gaining exposure to cutting-edge engineering practices and global project standards.
  • Flexible work arrangements, employee wellness initiatives, and a collaborative workplace culture that values innovation, diversity, and work-life balance.
