About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Detail Engineering Specialist to join our growing engineering team based in India. This role is central to the successful execution of large-scale industrial, infrastructure, and process plant projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating conceptual and basic engineering designs into comprehensive, construction-ready documentation and drawings. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams including process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, you will ensure that all technical deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and compliance with applicable Indian and international codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, isometric drawings, and equipment layout plans in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards such as IS, ASME, and ISO.
• Prepare and verify material take-offs (MTOs), bill of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications for procurement and construction purposes.
• Coordinate with process engineers, vendors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of engineering inputs across all disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct thorough design reviews and technical audits to identify and resolve design conflicts, clashes, and constructability issues before they impact project timelines.
• Utilize engineering design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, or similar tools to produce high-quality technical documentation and 3D models.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with client requirements, statutory regulations, and relevant Indian standards including BIS codes, PESO guidelines, and environmental norms.
• Support site teams during the construction and commissioning phases by providing timely technical clarifications and as-built documentation updates.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized engineering document control systems, ensuring version control and timely submission of deliverables as per the project schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in detail engineering roles within EPC, EPCM, or consulting engineering firms operating in India or internationally.
• Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D/PDMS, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent software platforms used in plant and infrastructure design.
• Strong working knowledge of Indian and international engineering codes and standards, including IS, ASME, API, IEC, and relevant OISD guidelines for oil and gas projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting strict project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience working on brownfield or greenfield projects in sectors such as oil and gas, power generation, or process industries is strongly preferred.
