About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Detail Engineering Specialist to join our growing team in India. This role is central to the successful execution of engineering projects across sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, and infrastructure. The Detail Engineering professional will be responsible for translating conceptual and basic engineering designs into comprehensive, construction-ready documentation and technical deliverables. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, isometrics, and equipment layouts in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Coordinate closely with process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure seamless integration of all engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform engineering calculations, material take-offs (MTOs), and equipment sizing to support procurement and construction activities.
• Ensure all detailed engineering outputs comply with relevant Indian and international standards such as IS, ASME, API, IEC, and client-specific specifications.
• Participate actively in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and technical audits, incorporating findings into revised engineering documentation in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage the engineering deliverables schedule, tracking progress against milestones and proactively identifying and resolving technical issues or conflicts.
• Support vendor document review processes, evaluating technical submittals and ensuring alignment with project specifications and design intent.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and draftspersons, promoting a culture of quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized Indian or international university.
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in detail engineering within EPC or consultancy environments, preferably in oil and gas, refinery, or process plant projects.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, SmartPlant, or equivalent tools relevant to the discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of applicable Indian and international engineering codes, standards, and statutory regulations governing design and construction.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting project deadlines in a structured project management environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Experience working within an ISO-certified quality management system and familiarity with document control processes and engineering management systems.
