The employer is seeking a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer – Motor to join its engineering team. This role focuses on ensuring that motor designs are optimised for efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
The selected candidate will work at the intersection of product design and production engineering, collaborating with cross-functional teams to review motor designs, identify manufacturability concerns, and recommend design modifications that improve yield, reduce waste, and streamline assembly.
- Evaluate motor component and assembly designs from a manufacturing feasibility perspective
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to align engineering intent with shop-floor capabilities
- Identify and resolve design-related manufacturing issues early in the product development cycle
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to motor production processes
