About the role
The employer is looking for a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer – Motor to support the development and optimisation of motor products with a strong focus on manufacturability. The selected candidate will work at the intersection of design and production engineering to ensure that motor designs can be reliably and efficiently manufactured at scale.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Reviewing and analysing motor designs from a manufacturing perspective to identify and resolve potential production challenges
- Collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to implement DFM best practices throughout the product development lifecycle
- Recommending design modifications to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and maintain product performance and quality
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
